The Story
NAGA means Cobra in Sanskrit. The grandeur name was chosen for this macrame bag as we took inspiration from the divine shape of the Indian & Egyptian woven cobra snake charmer basket.Â
This bucket bag is made with hand-dyed macrame cotton ropes by our female artisan community in Java, Indonesia. It takes at least around 80 hours to make each bag, and this project helps to provide jobs and security for the artisans in this region.
